Reasons Why Women Love Heels

Recently in an interview with Rebecca Mead from the New Yorker’s, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg was quoted saying:

"I like women and I think that they look stunning in high heels -- not that they look bad without high heels. I wouldn't criticize anybody". "But, if I were a woman, I think I would wear high heels."

This comment that Bloomberg would wear heels might look a little strange but it is not completely out of turf, as he made this remark at the celebration of the memoir by Tamara Mellon, the co-founder of Jimmy Choo.

Most of you will definitely think he is right in saying that women look absolutely smashing when they wear a pair of heels. Women think the same and hence, women heels are a part of their closet even if some women favour wearing comfortable flat shoes or speakers. 

They definitely have at least one pair of heels if not many. Women love heels and the love for a heel by women is unexplainable. There are many reasons as to why women love wearing a pair of heels, and in most cases wearing many types of heels most of the times. These types include stilettos, pumps and wedges to name a few standard ones.

The biggest reason though is that heels add height. This is especially great for smaller and diminutive women as they are more concerned than taller women, and this adds an extra bit of level to their whole ensemble. Also, wearing heels gets the crowd’s attention and also praises from some women too. So if you are looking for a head turner heel, you should go for a stiletto. Another reason is that women heels give you confidence and the right amount of it. Heels certainly enhance your outfit and knowing that makes a woman feel good about her and that in turn reflects in her confidence. It also accentuates a woman’s legs, makes it look longer and tones the leg muscle which improves the whole look of their body by elevating how they carry themselves when they stride and stand.
